For freedom, he set me free, not for chains, not for guilt, not for Pharisee. Grace lit the flame, now I'm puffing peace, cigars and victory justified, released. Welcome to the For Freedom Podcast. This podcast exists to bring the freedom of the gospel for everyday Christians with everyday issues. I ain't saved by dress codes, not by what I eat. I'm covered in the righteousness, washed from head to feet. No tally of tradition, no man-made code. Blood bought my freedom, now I ride that road. They clutch pearls when they see smoke rings rise. But my praise still ascends past the legalist cries. Christ plus nothing, that's the real math. So miss me with your fence laws and your extra path. He sat with sinners, I'm sitting with saints. Sipping grace from the bottle, no room for fakes. I light one for liberty, toast to the king. Every ash a sermon, death has lost its sting. For freedom, he set me free, not for chains, not for guilt, not for Pharisee. Grace lit the flame, now I'm puffing peace. Cigars and victory justified, released. For freedom, he set me free, not for chains, not for guilt, not for Pharisee. Grace lit the flame, now I'm puffing peace. Cigars and victory justified, released. Let grace begin. For freedom, he set me free, not for chains, not for guilt, not for Pharisee. Grace lit the flame, now I'm puffing peace. Now here are your hosts, James Saifert and Brett Martin. Not just because of its historical value, but especially because of its spiritual value in our hearts. In a moment, we're going to take part in communion with the fruit of the vine. The bread symbolizes the blood of Jesus and also his body. There's two sites that we have visited. Calvary, Golgotha's Hill, and the Garden Tomb. One site will tell us a little bit about the gloominess of a day. But then we walked over to the other site that tells us about the glory of another day. It's where humiliation empties itself into exhilaration. It was the seed plot of the New Testament church. And all of it was encapsulated and powered by the Holy Spirit. Today, as we look at this, it's only fitting that we would be in a garden and partake. Of this communion. Because the resurrection of the Lord Jesus that we celebrate has something to do with the crucifixion that all of us within our hearts grieve about. Yes. That creation would turn on its creator. And somehow we would take the most blessed thing given to us in life and destroy it. And God, through his empty tomb, tells us that we have the opportunity to live again. Yes. And here's the moment before we partake in communion. I think that God tells us as Christians that our life is a series of new beginnings. Mm-hmm. When we come to Christ, 2 Corinthians 5, 17, Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Amen. But I want to remind you that every time we partake in communion, it is a new beginning. Yes. Yes. It is a reminder that Christ died for our sins. Amen. And that with all of our failures of yesterday, we have an opportunity to come back to the Lord Jesus in moments of communion. And we have the opportunity to start over again. Yes. In the freshness of new life. That's right. Because I want you to think about that after we've received it, and we walk out of this room, we have experienced another new beginning. To start over again in a different way, in a new way. Good work. And may God let us leave here changed. Amen. Rick, if you'll come and read us a passage of Scripture, please. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
